Using online forums to understand spectator experience

The aim of the research is to better understand the logistical and emotional aspects of the Olympic spectator experience journey.

We evaluate the reality of the spectator experience against their expectations, and so research is conducted before, during and after the Games, using a combination of online qualitative forums (“The Stadium”) and quantitative surveying. Using the research, we have provided the IOC with actionable insights on the spectator experience, which feeds into future strategies aimed at ensuring expectations continue to be exceeded at future editions of the Games.
